Advisor Comments (Julie Sherk)

Emma is charming, and has been a delight to have in class. I first met her when she started in the landscape design program where she started with the hardest landscape design class, grading and drainage.  She aced it.  She was an exemplary student in all the classes that she took with me.  She has great, relevant questions and always used her positive outlook to problem-solve.

During the Digital Media class, we met online and it was always reassuring to see her smiling face in the “Brady Bunch” squares in the Zoom meeting, not to mention the treat of an occasional appearance of her little Chihuahua, Rosie.

Emma is a friend to all, and the classroom lights up when she walks in.  She has the tenacity to stick to conquering the things that challenged her, and then being able to help others once she masters something new.  With Emma’s self-confidence, cleverness, talent and extraordinarily positive personality, I am certain of her success in landscape design and beyond.
