How are you planning to use your degree?
I plan to use my degree to help better our understanding of horticultural plants in our native environments.
Whom do you want to thank?
I’d like to thank my lovely parents for supporting me unconditionally throughout my life but especially while I got my first degree! I’d also like to thank my lovely friends who have stayed by my side throughout my time here <3 last but certainly not least all the professors who taught me & helped guide me throughout my time at state.
What is the best thing about studying horticulture at NC State?
I think the best thing about horticulture at state was the size of classes we got & of course the faculty who are more than willing to help with everything.

Allissa is a joy. She loves people, growing things, and nurturing the environment. She is creative and has great attention to detail. She has been a dedicated student employee helping several faculty and graduate students with their research. She will be continuing these efforts before she begins her own graduate education.
