Whom do you want to thank?
I would like to thank all of the lovely advisors I have had at NC State for encouraging me throughout my time here and the professors that helped me find out what I am passionate about. I would also like to thank all of the friends I have made along the way. They all helped to make college an experience I would not trade for anything and I look forward to seeing all of the awesome things they are going to go on to do.
What is the best thing about studying horticulture at NC State?
The people in the horticulture department are the best part. They have created a very collaborative environment that encourages curiosity and helping one another learn.

Advisor Comments (Anne Spafford):
Freja has been an incredible student and advisee. A superb designer, with outstanding graphic communications skills. She was delightful to have in class, taking advantage of any and all experiences that would broaden her horizons. All of her numerous internships informed her studio work. She put a lot of time into her academics, but she always volunteered her time and people skills when I had workdays in the pollinator gardens on campus. It is no surprise that she was voted Outstanding Senior.
I am so pleased that she will be continuing her education at the University of Georgia in their Masters of Landscape Architecture program, with a competitive assistantship. I am looking forward to seeing the contributions she will make to the design of sustainable and meaningful spaces.
Congratulations, Freja! I am so proud of you!
