Maddie is the kind of person who leads by example, quietly. Head down, earbuds in, she works on her landscape designs with a laser focus. She works efficiently, but thoroughly, and with precision. She is not only a pragmatic designer, but a creative one as well. It has been a pure joy to see her evolve as a designer over the years. She has fully taken charge of her education–she always came prepared for advising sessions, and always looking for extra experiences to augment her education. Last summer’s internship with Landvision Designs here in Raleigh proved immensely fruitful: They offered her a job as a landscape designer after graduation! I have every confidence that she’ll continue to grow as a design professional and continue on her trajectory of exceeding client wishes. Take some time to enjoy this achievement, Maddie!
