How are you planning to use your degree?

I would love to find a career in Public Gardens and conservation awareness. I am passionate about bridging the gap between environmentalism and aesthetic horticulture. I would excel the most in a position where I am able to promote sustainable horticulture practices to the public.

  • Horticulture Club
  • Ski Club
  • PAX
  • Undergraduate Research

Whom do you want to thank?

Firstly I would love to thank my parents who have been very supportive of the choices I’ve made that have led me to this degree. Next, I would like to thank my professors for prioritizing being incredible educators all while being approachable and creating connections with the students. I would like to thank Brian Jackson for being a great advisor and helping me figure out how to get this degree. I would of not been able to get the undergrad research experience I did without Hudson Ashrafi, so thank you very much. I know that is will help me so much as I continue my job search. And thank you to Diane and Kerry for always being so welcoming and helpful in Fox!

What is the best thing about studying horticulture at NC State?

The department is so welcoming! I have always enjoyed having classes in Kilgore and Fox.
